3 Ways to Improve Your Energy by Changing the Way You Exercise

We all know how it feels to be tired. You can barely keep your eyes open, let alone think about working out. But what if I told you that exercise could actually help improve your energy levels?

It sounds counterintuitive, but it’s true! By making some simple changes to the way you exercise, you can give yourself a much-needed energy boost. Here are three ways to do it:

1) Go for a walk

If you’re feeling exhausted, a leisurely stroll is a great way to get some movement without overdoing it. Walking is easy on the body and can help increase blood flow and oxygen levels, which can give you more energy. Tip: Make sure to walk in comfortable shoes so you don’t end up hurting yourself.

2) Focus on interval training

Interval training is a great way to get your heart rate up without expending too much energy. If you’re short on time, try doing a few bursts of activity followed by periods of rest. This type of exercise can help improve your cardiovascular fitness and increase your energy levels. Tip: Warm up before you start your interval training so you don’t strain your muscles.

3) Do resistance training

In addition to helping improve your strength and endurance, resistance training can also help boost your energy levels. Weightlifting, bodyweight exercises, and even yoga can all help you feel more energetic. Tip: Make sure to focus on proper form to avoid injuries.

General Tips:

  • Start slowly and gradually increase the intensity of your workouts as you get more comfortable.
  • Listen to your body and don’t push yourself too hard.
  • Choose an activity that you enjoy so you’re more likely to stick with it.
  • Exercise with a friend or group for motivation and support.

If you’re feeling tired, there’s no need to reach for another cup of coffee. Just try making some changes to the way you exercise! By following these tips, you can help improve your energy levels and feel great.

So next time you’re feeling tired, try one of these three exercise hacks to give yourself a much-needed energy boost!

4 Signs That You Are Not Eating Enough

Are you always tired? Feeling cold all the time? Irritable and moody? If you answered yes to any of these, it may be a sign that you are not eating enough. Getting the proper nutrients from high quality foods is essential for our bodies to function properly. Here are 4 signs that you are not getting enough good quality food.

1)Tiredness

If you’re constantly feeling exhausted, it may be a sign that you’re not getting enough good quality food. When we don’t have enough energy from food, our body starts to break down stored fat for fuel which can lead to fatigue. Not getting enough calories can also disrupt your sleep patterns, making you feel even more tired during the day. Tip: To get more energy from your food, make sure you’re eating complex carbohydrates like whole grains and legumes as well as lean protein sources.

2)Being Cold All the Time

If you find yourself always cold, even in warm environments, it may be a sign of poor blood circulation due to lack of nutrients. When we don’t have enough food, our body starts to conserve energy by constricting blood vessels to reduce heat loss. This can make us feel colder than usual. Tip: To improve blood circulation, eat foods high in iron such as dark leafy greens and lean red meat.

3)Irritable and Moody

If you find yourself feeling irritable or moody more often than not, it could be a sign of low blood sugar levels. When we don’t eat enough, our blood sugar drops which can lead to feelings of irritability, anxiety, and dizziness. Tip: To stabilize blood sugar levels, eat small frequent meals throughout the day and include complex carbohydrates and protein with each meal.

4)Poor Concentration

If you find it difficult to concentrate or focus on one task, it may be a sign of malnutrition. When we’re not getting enough nutrients, our brains cannot function properly which can lead to problems with concentration and focus. Tip: To improve concentration and focus, eat foods high in omega-3 fatty acids such as salmon, nuts, and seeds.

General Tips

If you think you may not be getting enough good quality food, there are some things you can do to improve your situation.

  • Make sure to include a variety of nutrient-rich foods in your diet such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
  • Limit your intake of processed foods, sugary drinks, and alcohol.
  • If you’re having trouble getting enough nutrients from food, talk to your doctor or nutritionist about taking supplements.

If you are experiencing any of these signs, it is important to see a doctor or registered dietitian to rule out any underlying medical conditions. However, if you are otherwise healthy, these may be signs that you are not getting enough good quality food. To improve your health, make sure you’re eating a variety of nutrient-rich foods and include complex carbohydrates, lean protein, healthy fats, and plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet.

Just Because You Age It Doesn’t Mean You Have to Feel Tired

Ageing individuals may find themselves feeling more tired than they used to. They may attribute this to simply getting older, but there are actually other underlying conditions that can cause fatigue in older adults. One condition that is often overlooked is thyroid problems. Even if thyroid lab results come back normal, that doesn’t necessarily mean the thyroid is functioning properly.

What is the Thyroid?

The thyroid is a gland located in the neck that produces hormones that regulate metabolism. When the thyroid isn’t functioning properly, it can lead to a variety of symptoms, one of which is fatigue.

There are two main types of thyroid disorders: hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. Hypothyroidism occurs when the thyroid doesn’t produce enough hormones and hyperthyroidism occurs when the thyroid produces too many hormones. Both can cause fatigue, but there are other symptoms associated with each as well.

Symptoms of Hypothyroidism

In addition to fatigue, hypothyroidism can also cause:

  • Weight gain
  • Depression
  • Dry skin
  • Hair loss
  • Muscle weakness
  • Constipation

Symptoms of Hyperthyroidism

  • Hyperthyroidism can cause:
  • Anxiety/nervousness
  • Heart palpitations
  • Weight loss despite increased appetite
  • Diarrhea or frequent bowel movements
  • Sweating or heat intolerance

If you are diagnosed with a thyroid disorder, there are treatments available that can help improve your symptoms and quality of life. So even though fatigue is common in older adults, it’s important to see your doctor to rule out other potential causes.
